So I thought I would ease myself into the blog-o-sphere and tell you about my top ten products that I am loving right now. Sorry this is quite a long one!
First its
Rimmel Match Perfection foundation. This gives me the perfect medium to build-able coverage whilst feeling light on the skin. It gives a beautiful glow but with my oliy/combination skin it does require powder. That being said this foundation is just the one I keep reaching for! And it's affordable and on sale in Boots and the moment.
Second is my
Oilatum Natural Repair Face Cream. Crikey this stuff is just my miracle worker. I first bought it as Nic from
Pixwoo had always raved about it and although (as I have mentioned before) I have oily/combo skin and one may not immediately think this would work on my skin type but...
it does! My skin just seems to love it. I love putting an especially thick layer on after a heavy night out it makes my skin immediately look less hungover- even if I'm not feeling it!
Now then.. this nail polish is my go-to right now! The
Rimmel Salon Pro finish is lovely, with just two thin coats it gives a lovely opaque colour. And my oh my the colour is yummy! Its a beautiful mix of navy blue, grey and a slight hint of purple! Its an interesting colour and fuels my love of the Kate Moss collection for Rimmel even more! Click

Now
Le Petit Marseillais Lip Balm may be more difficult to come by but if you are ever in a French supermarket I urge you to pick it up! With a holiday home in Brittany I spent my school holidays in France every year. Le Petit Marseillais as a brand floods me with memories- especially their
amazing citrus and lavender shower gels which we used to always use after long days on the beach. But back to this lip balm. I keep tubes of this everywhere and apply it morning and evening without fail! It's cheap and it smells and feels amazing. I certainly couldn't ask for more.
Now these are probably worthy of a blog post all of their own (in fact check back I may just do that) and by 'these' I mean this amazing trio of primers/skin perfectors. The
Clarins Beauty Balm is a cult favourite of the online beauty community and deservedly so. It is pricey but my sister very kindly gave it to me for Christmas and I adore it. It just makes your face (with and without makeup) look
incredible- tight, bright and smooth... could a girl ask for more? Well yes.. and that's where the other two come in.
Benefits Porefessional acts as a perfect primer filling in my pores without that heavy, greasy silicone feeling although it still has that silicone touch but it feels wonderfully light! And as a cheaper, more everyday option I am loving the
Rimmel Fix and Perfect. It's one of those slap-it-on products which just does everything you'd like a primer to do but without the tummy pang you get when you're applying a £20+ product to your face. I would really recommend it to those on a budget but still want an effective primer.
This little guy is a makeup bag essential right now. The
Benefit They're Real mascara immediately makes you look put together and is my life saver when I'm just dashing to the library but don't have the time (or care enough) to put on a full face of makeup. I haven't ever owned the full size as I received another one of this smaller size in Elle last year and then got given this in a Benefit set by my best girl friend for Christmas. I'd suggest getting this small size if you don't want to commit to the expense- but I have to admit I am considering saving my pennies for the full size! (Sorry bank account)
This is my holy grail product. This
MAC Studio Finish concealer has been with me through thick and thin. As one of the first products I ever bought from MAC at the age of 13/14 it is
still my favourite. The coverage is incredible hiding even the most horrendous bags and spots. It is blend-able, build-able, sweat-proof and just a life saver. And although I have used it everyday since the age of 13 this is only my third pot. Totally worth the price.
This lipstick and the following colour just haven't left my lips over the last few months.
Diva is actually my first ever MAC lipstick and I couldn't have wished for more. It isn't too drying even though it is the most fabulous matte texture. And woowwiee this colour is just stunning, the perfect dark plummy-red which I still think is very wearable during the day especially when paired with a strong brow and mascara. Just divine!
And of course I couldn't venture into the world of MAC lipsticks without picking up
Ruby-woo. This is just
the red for me. The perfect true bluey under toned red which just makes any face-look just appear so effortless and classy. However my only draw back is that this formula is more drying than Diva- but maybe I just got a funny one?
And I've left one of my real favourites for last. Anyone who knows me in real life, or frankly looks at any of my photos will know that eyebrows are my jam. I just love a good strong brow and the
Elf Eyebrow Kit helps me achieve it. I started off by using an angled brush with the gel/wax side only but as it got used up so quickly now I use the powder all through my brows with the same angled brush and put the gel through the tail of my brows to give a really sharp line. Hey I can't live in Liverpool and not be a
ll about the brows!
So these are my top ten right now! I hope you liked my first proper blog post. Please leave some comments as to what you think of these- are they some of your favourites? If not, what are some of your loves right now!
Thanks again to any one who is reading this.
Love C xx
Going to invest in some Clarins Beauty Balm- I always put foundation straight on and I've been looking for something that will give me a smoother finish! Thanks for the recommendation ;) x
