What did I take to Cambridge for the weekend?

Cambridge in the glorious British sunshine!

This weekend I headed to Cambridge to see my best friend who is in uni there. I've never been before and I was so so excited for girly time and getting to explore somewhere new. I thought it might be fun to tell you what I have taken with me!

I decided to use my new Jeep back pack. I got this bag after Christmas from TKMaxx. It may not be the most attractive of bags but I felt I needed it in my life after a particularly horrific journey home on the train from Liverpool, where I had too much cumbersome luggage which made it nigh on impossible to make my connections! I decided to use my vintage leather Tula bag as my handbag. It's a beautiful burgundy leather with a short handle that fits in the crook of my arm and a longer strap if I want to wear it over my shoulder.

Here are the make up brushes I brought with me. I used this Liz Earle zip pouch which I got when I purchased some of my Cleanse and Polish (an old favourite). It's the best size for carrying make up brushes! I brought:
  • Real Techniques Expert Face Brush
  • Real Techniques Buffing Brush (which I didn't actually use)
  • Illamasqua Powder Brush
  • ELF Angled Blush Brush
  • ELF Angled Contour Brush (which I use for concealer)
  • MAC 217
  • MAC 208

This is the makeup bag I brought with me. It is by Toni & Guy and I got given it in my stocking for Christmas. In it is:
  • Primark Eyelash Curlers (the BEST)
  • Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in 100 Ivory
  • MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC20
  • Sleek 'neutral' Palette
  • (small size) Benefit They're Real Mascara
  • (small size) Benefit Hoola bronzer
  • (small size) Benefit Porefessional
  • Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 1 Fair
  • ELF 'candid coral' Blush
  • ELF Eyebrow Kit in medium
  • Rimmel eyeliner
  • Vaseline lip balm, the rosey one
  • 2 MAC lipsticks in Ruby Woo and Diva
  • Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick in 107

In this transparent bag I kept my toiletries. I normally use it for flights as carry on because it's clear but it's just such a handy size. In it is:

  • Boots Natural Collection Body Wash
  • (small size) Nivea Pearl Deodorant
  • Le Petit Marseillais Lip Balm
  • (small size) Clinique Liquid Facial Soap for combination oily to oily skin
  • Oral B electric toothbrush
  • toothpaste
  • Primark 'sultry' false eyelashes- my absolute favourites!
  • Face wipes
  • Hand Sanitiser

A few extra beauty related bits. My smaller size bottle (yes I have the bigger one too!) of the Zara Woman 92 Champs Elysees perfume. My obnoxiously coloured Tangle Teaser- which I only got off the back of my best friend here in Liverpool raving on about it and honestly I haven't used another brush since! And finally my Phillips Straighteners which I use to curl my hair.

I had the most wonderful weekend in Cambridge. Great company, a beautiful city and amazing food- what more could anyone want?!
I hope you enjoyed this post. Check back for another post soon.

Lots of love, C xxx

P.S. At the restaurant I ate in last night in Cambridge, Prince William had been in for food the previous week!
