Student Loan Haul: Makeup, Fashion, Accessories

As you might have seen from my Student Loan Lust List, Student loans came in at the beginning of April. I looked at how much I got for this installment and set aside shopping money.
On Tuesday my best friend Alice and I ventured into Cardiff- and I meant business. Plus I also did some online shopping too at Topshop and ebay.
So here are the things I got.

First there was a 3 for 2 in Boots on Rimmel products. I was looking for some new nail varnish and I settled on these three- 115 Happily Evie After, 203 Lose Your Lingerie and the Nail Nurse Nail Base and Top so Coat.
So far I've tried 115 and the Top Coat/Base Coat. The colour is gorgeous and it wears well, the top coat seems to be good too.

Then to MAC. I picked up my old faithful foundation- Studio Fix Fluid in NC20 and also decided to get the pump because even though it costs £4 (slightly outrageous if you ask me) it does prevent me from using too much, in turn allowing the product to be me cost effective.
Then I picked up Charcoal Brown Matte eyeshadow for my eyebrows. I'd seen youtubers using this and was getting a bit bored of my ELF Eyebrow Kit. So far I am loving it!! It is the perfect colour for me.
And lastly from MAC I needed a new tube of DUO Eyelash Adhesive. At £10 it may seem expensive, but I had my last tube for nearly 4 years (kind of gross I know) and it really is the best glue out there.

Then H&M. It was right at the end of the day and I hadn't bought any clothes at all but on a whim I went back into H&M to see if there was anything I had missed, and boy oh boy had I missed some things! I ended up getting this awesome faux leather lack biker jacket for £15- yes you heard that right...£15! It should have been £30 and even at that price I would have bought it. I adore it. And the other item is this gorgeous black and white light knit jumper. It is slightly longer at the back and has a lovely bateau neckline which is super flattering. It is soft and just lovely on.

Now to my online purchases both of which are shoes.
First are my black Dr Marten Serena's. I have been wanting these for months but couldn't justify the £120 for them. I was determined they'd go on sale after Christmas but was disappointed to see that they only went down to £90. So the other day I was browsing Topshops sale section online and low and behold there they were. For £60 and only left in my size I decided it was fate and immediately bought them! I am so so glad I waited for them, they are as amazing as anticipated.

Then my Birkenstock Arizonas. There is another long story here. I had been wanting a pair since last summer but never got around to buying them. I had been comparing prices online and the hightstreet was substantially more expensive so I thought I would get them from the Birkentock store on Amazon. After buying them I realised I had bought the man-made leather ones, so I immediately cancelled my order (who knew you could do that?!) and turned to ebay. Again I lucked out. I found an auction ending in 30 minutes for a black leather pair in my size. After a tense half an hour I managed to get them for £32 including postage and packaging. Compared to the nearly £60 on Topshop and Asos I was over the moon!

I hope you have enjoyed this insight into some of my recent purchases.
I'm off to France now! See you in a week.
Lots of love, C xxx
